The food

How does fish by the kilo work?

The fish of the day is on ice and you choose the one you want. We weigh it and tell you the price before it goes to the kitchen. Whole fish is grilled over charcoal and served with olive oil and lemon. The prices per kilo are on the menu and may change with the market.

Where does the fish come from?

The fish is wild, from Greek waters.

What is on the menu besides fish?

Cured fish, cold starters such as white taramosalata and marinated anchovies, salads, shellfish (raw clams, mussels steamed, fried or saganaki, sea urchin salad), hot dishes such as charcoal-grilled octopus, shrimp saganaki and the greens pie, and pasta with shrimp or bottarga. The full menu with prices is online.

Is there anything for vegetarians?

From the printed menu: the greens pie with hand-rolled phyllo and feta, the salads (Greek salad with Naxos xinomyzithra, boiled vegetables, seasonal greens, green beans with Cretan anthotyro, courgette and avocado), wild greens, and our own bread. The fava comes with smoked eel, so it is not vegetarian.

Do you make your own bread and desserts?

Yes. The bread is kneaded by hand and baked here, the greens pie has phyllo opened by hand, the potatoes are peeled and cut by hand, and the desserts (kunefe with kaimaki ice cream, baked quince, dried fruits in red wine with yoghurt cream, lemon cream) are made in our kitchen.

Do you do takeaway?

Takeaway is available by phone order only, Wednesday to Friday, during opening hours. Call +30 210 9404 518.

Are prices on the website the same as in the restaurant?

Yes. The online menu shows the names and prices of our printed menu, VAT included. Fish prices per kilo may change with the market.
